Do you know why it hurt so much when you cut down on paper?
When you cut down on paper it almost always causes a sharp pain, no matter how much injury was small.
Ferris Djerba, editor of the respected American
magazine Sci Am explains that the skin on the hands and fingers of a
large number of pain receptors (nociceptors) that directly send a
message to the brain in the event of injury. The second element that explains the extreme sensitivity of these receptors is itself cut.
